At 2pm today the National Government delivered their third Budget since coming to power. It is an election year Budget, but unlike with previous Governments, is unlikely to contain the sweeteners that had become commonplace. It will hit most people in the pocket, one way or another.
This year, in collaboration with Ayers Legal, Minter Ellison and Tomlinson Law, we are proud to present a series of podcasts from different perspectives on the Budget.
You can listen at the following link: http://www.talktax.co.nz/index.php/2011/05/19/nzbudget-2011-three-perspectives/ and we will post transcripts in the next couple of days.
We hope you enjoy listening.
Tomorrow morning at 7:45am I will be interviewed on TV 3 Firstline by Rachel Smalley to discuss the recently released Greenpeace case. Before doing so, I thought it would be a good idea to post a few thoughts on the case for those interested in this development in charity law. We hope you enjoy the post, and we will post a link to the TV 3 interview here during the day if we can source a copy.
